Hitachi Software Supports Open Standards by Participating in the OpenGIS Live Interoperability Demo
Westminster, Colorado - April 8, 2004 - Hitachi Software Global Technology (HSGT), announced today that the latest release of its open spatial data integration solution, Any*GIS, now implements the Web Mapping Service (WMS) interface of the Open GIS Consortium (OGC). To mark this product expansion, HSGT is participating in the Live Interoperability Demonstration of the Open GIS Consortium at the GITA Annual Conference 27. This interactive demonstration will illustrate Any*GISí ability to integrate and web-enable data and applications across distributed networks, multiple processing platforms, and vendor formats.
Hitachi Software will also demonstrate how Any*GIS implements the OpenGIS Simple Features Specification (SFS) for SQL, the Coordinate Transformation Service (CT), the Geography Markup Language (GML).
"WMS support now allows our customers to directly access the rich set of public data sources like USGS DOQs and DRGs, and the many subscriptions services that have been launched recently.," said Robert Carroll, vice president of HSGT.
